If You’re Not Sure Where to Begin Renovation projects cannot be priced in a meaningful way without a clear design direction. This is because the scope of work, materials, and level of finish have not yet been clearly defined. For clients who are not yet sure what they want, or are still exploring styles and possibilities, we begin by helping you think through the project first. This includes clarifying ideas, setting direction, and guiding decisions based on the space, intended use, and budget. At this stage, we help with: Defining the overall design direction and suitable style Understanding how each space will be used Recommending appropriate materials that align with both function and budget This allows the overall picture to become clear before moving into budget discussions or construction planning. Design Fee Design fees typically range between USD 20–50 per sqm, depending on the size and complexity of the project. The final fee is confirmed once the scope of work is clearly understood. During the design phase, we provide 3D visualizations to help clients clearly see the overall design before construction begins. The design can be revised up to three times, allowing adjustments to better align with the client’s needs before the design is finalized. Once the design is completed, we are then able to provide an accurate construction cost. BOQ (Bill of Quantities) After the design has been finalized, we prepare a BOQ (Bill of Quantities) to clearly break down the cost of each work item and material. The BOQ helps clients to: See the cost of each element included in the design Understand the overall project budget Discuss adjustments or alternative materials to better align with the available budget This step ensures transparency and helps minimize misunderstandings during construction. If SALA DECOR Handles the Construction If the client decides to proceed with construction through SALA DECOR, part of the design fee can be deducted from the construction cost. This approach helps to: Clarify the real budget before construction begins Reduce the risk of budget overruns Minimize unnecessary changes during construction Our Approach We believe that successful renovation projects do not start with numbers or the lowest price.
